Data monitoring

Effective data monitoring is fundamental to assess progress over time and measure the impact of any changes.  Regular reviews of these data support a learning culture, help to highlight where things are going well, and not so well, and can guide where additional support or change might be needed in real time.

The Listen2Baby resources on Documenting IA and Data about IA have tips and tools to help you strengthen and understand the situation regarding IA in your setting.

Building on the collection of baseline data on IA using the prospective audit tool (or Excel) , we recommend you consider regular repeat audits (every three-six months), as well as regular reviews of the quality of IA documentation.
